If other midsize cities in colder climes can make bike lanes work, surely Fort Wayne can. Henry is rightly rolling out the lanes gradually, with three pilot projects on the drawing board for this year.

As an avid bicyclist, Mark Yeaton has been spit on, shot at, had beer cans thrown toward him and been hit by big vehicles - twice.Full story here.
The first time, a pickup truck blew past him on Indiana 58 and nailed him with its passenger-side mirror.
He kept his composure and stayed on top of his bike, but boy, did it hurt.
"It was like getting hit by a softball," Yeaton said.
Jer and Morrow can both vouch for how dangerous it is riding around Columbus. Glad to see the media and police there trying to put in a good word for cyclists early in the season.
